Frequently Asked Questions about the 2025 Camp Season

Every year Meriden Community Camp provides quality programming and childcare in our community. This year's camp season will include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) activities, as well as good old-fashioned camp fun.

Dates and Times:

The 2025 Camp season will run for seven weeks (June 30-August 15). Campers may register for all seven weeks or any number of individual weekly sessions. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate campers for partial weeks. Please note that the week of June 30- July 4  will be a four-day camp week (June 30-July 3). On July 4, camp will be closed in observance of the 4th of July holiday.

  • Session 1 (June 30-July 3)

MCC will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of the 4th of July holiday.

  • Session 2 (July 7- July 11)
  • Session 3 (July 14-July 18)
  • Session 4 (July 20-July 25)

We welcome campers who will be entering Preschool through 7th grade in the fall of 2025.

We welcome our littlest campers ages 3-5 years old or rising Kindergartners. Campers must be potty-trained before the start of camp.

Camp hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day. We are offering an optional early start at 7 a.m. for families who would like to drop off their camper(s) before 8 a.m. We also offer extended afternoon hours until 5 p.m. If this is of interest to you, please let us know as soon as possible.

Respiratory Illnesses Precautions:

Although, respiratory illnesses generally decrease during the summer, we have learned that wherever there are children, there are illnesses. Last year we had several cases of bronchities, various types of 'bugs', and COVID. So, out of an abundance of caution we are hoping that with extra awareness we can prevent some of those 'bugs' this year.

It is expected that parents will be monitoring their campers for symptoms of COVID, Pneumonia, Flu, and RSV. Although community transmission of COVID has lessened considerably, it is still a reality. If your camper is showing any sign or symptoms of the above mentioned respiratory illnesses, we kindly request that you keep him/her/them at home. Children can return to camp once they are symptom free or fever free for at least 24 hours without medication. We kindly request that your camper wear a mask if they are still symptomatic upon return to camp.

If a camper is showing symptoms of a respiratory illness, it is expected they will be picked up within 45 minutes of their parent/guardia being called.
